 Brussels on Monday 15th April 2024

Bright and dry morning with broken cloud and sunshine.  Increasing cloud after midday, and light rain from 14.45 local time.

Cold front with an abrupt onset of strong wind and heavy rain at 15.00, accompanied by 3 rumbles of thunder.  Rain moderated and then stopped by 15.45, but there was a further shower towards 17.00 before the sky cleared to allow some evening sunshine.  Further shower mid-evening.

Rather cold: sharp fall in temperature at Uccle from 10.0°C at 15.00 to only 5.4°C at 16.00.

SW wind increased steadily during thr morning; fresh SSW wind from midday, with gusts reaching 65 to 70 km/hr at Uccle .  Sharp decrease in the wind behind the front, to moderate and then light WSW.

Brussels Uccle highest hourly  10.9°C  -  overnight minimum 6.6°C  -  6.5 mm rain

Brussels Airport 12.3°C –  overnight minimum 6.7°C  -  2 mm rain
