A quick 'shout-out' for the Newcastle Emlyn area in west Wales where there appears to be a 75mm pixel. This nicely fits with the heavy rain yesterday evening from the stationary front. The Teifi valley does not seem to be wide enough to have given much respite from the orographic enhancement in the N flow then. Upwind, a lot of miserable holidaymakers perhaps in campsites and caravan sites around Aberporth / New Quay - thankfully not peak-season yet.
By contrast, my total here was a paltry 5.5mm, welcome though that was!
