Up here on the south side of the Moray Firth, it surely must have been one of, if not the, sunniests Februarys on record. Official figures not available for a few days.
Today 28th at Nairn. Flat calm sea.
Note in the last picture, slight frost in the shadow of the small sand dunes.

Meanwhile in the deep south, this has been a dull February despite ending with 5 sunny days in a row.
Provisional figures are 77 hours of sunshine. Not the dullest February in my record, the recent sunshine stopped that record. My sunniest February was 136 hours in 2008.
