Fairly bright at first but mostly cloudy in the course of the morning.  Some sunshine for a time mid-afternoon but overcast again by 17.00 local time.  Heavy rain between 17.45 and 18.15, and still damp at times after dark.  Quite warm during the day but cooler after the rain.  Light to moderate SSE wind at first veered S from mid-morning, and increased temporarily and veered WSW to W in the rain.
