39.1mm in the 36 hours ending 09:00 today. There was an absolute deluge yesterday afternoon 2-3pm when approx 20mm fell.

This was the level of the Larigan river which runs through the bottom of my garden. (The gauge is only 400m upstream from me)

32.6 mm here in 24 hrs to 1800 yesterday.
What's that about a hosepipe ban?

Another 24mm yesterday, May total now 105% of normal for the entire month.

Sad time, Magic Seaweed, the 1st & best wave forecasting site, is now part of Surfline. This is supposed not to impact accuracy as local knowledge is still used to modify model output for specific beaches, and essentially everything is being carried forward into Surfline. However, this is Surfline for Sennen.

The rating used to be a star rating, which to me is preferable. Instead of a swell height of 7-8' or 8-10' we now have 7.9' & 8.3' etc. As well as giving a false impression of accuracy, it rather implies just getting the output, without the nice bit of practical tidying up that used to take place.

We'll see, but a whole era is over, and bye bye to a lot of free access webcams for Joe Public I suspect..

Yes, it's laughable the accuracy claimed.
I wonder if Surfline will give warnings of sharks off Southwest beaches.
It seems to me they are about to arrive.

This basking shark was in St Ives harbour in March, which is very unusual.

No measurable rain in the 24 hours to 09:00 today!
