West Cornwall - A fairly sunny near gale

After a brief shower @ 08:30 the skies cleared to give periods of sunshine until 14:00.

Then the cloud thickened, ahead of the rain which is imminent.

Very windy, but shy of gale force, except on exposed cliff tops. Maximum gust I've seen so far 56mph at Lands End.

The swell is really building. Sennen 16:00 with the rain about to hit.

Just been down to Newlyn, plenty of surfing along the pier at Newlyn, well sheltered from the wind.

Prom packed with people watching the waves.

PC Warning - Don't get too close to the waters edge in these conditions. (Unless you find it fun & exciting!)

So not a gale, but the sea was great, looked particularly good in the morning when it was sunny, but the tide was low then.
