Another wet month with the majority of the precipitation concentrated across three or four days.  Large variations in temperature during the month, but mean air temperature was close to normal.  Largely mild and rather damp first half followed by two short cold periods in the  second half - however, the cold was interrupted for two days with the mildest temperatures of the month.  The first cold period involved snow (which lay for four days) and quite severe frost, the second cold period was more benign but generated further frost and ice.  A short windy spell associated with storm Bert at the start of the final week, with heavy rain and snow melt contributing to local flooding.
