Interesting to see Nick Miller talking about how the weather has been coming along in blocks recently. Something I have also mooted a lot recently. I think he was implying that something was causing the large shifts north and south of the jetstream remaining in place for longer periods than was normal.

Some welcome rain here today. I seem to find myself alternatively wishing for it to rain/stop raining every three months these these days!
