Looking at the satellite imagery, I am in the right spot for sunshine! Even the north coast has some cloud, possibly insipient sea breeze2023-04-17 12_58_45-Capture.png

Still unbroken sunshine so far today, one of the advantages with being on the south facing coast, so the sun is over the clear blue skies over the sea and not affected by any build up of cloud inland. Thin Sc, which affected Falmouth Bay for a while, dissipated as it descended off the Lizard into Mount's Bay. Now the sun's descending into the west, the inland cloud will start to have an effect.

The onshore ESE breeze restricted the temperature rise a bit, but at 16.8C still the warmest day of the year so far.

Mousehole webcam. Cloud associated with the uplift over the E facing coast clearly visible, cloud in the distance is over the Lizard.

It's just a perfect day, as Lou Reed would say, except he wasn't referring to the weather.
