Penzance - Wet Day followed by an autumn swell (Pics)

19.8mm of rain in the 24 hours to 09:00 today. Never particularly heavy, but plenty of moderate to heavy bursts.

Today has been dry since 09:00 with sunny intervals. It is breezy, but the sea state in the Bay is quite rough. This caused some issues to those sailing.

No easy to right it in those conditions without some assistance.

At last

He's not as close to those rocks at it appears, the photos are from Marazion, that's Newlyn, the far side of the Bay (and Penzance) so the amount of zoom has compressed the distance a lot.

Great kite surfing conditions.

At last the lifeguards at Marazion have something to keep an eye, most of the Summer's it's pretty much flat.

After all yesterdays rain a decent dry, bright day today, the patchy rain having cleared just the the east by dawn. Bright, sunny intervals, maximum of 20.2C

Wind is picking up now, and the is quite a ground swell, a lot of white water and the visibility is now seriously affected by salt spray.
