"The Devil's beating his wife" is a Southern US expression for a sun shower, i.e. rain and sun. My Irish wife tells me that "Monkeys getting married" is used in a similar context.
My AI generated images seems to show the Devil's wife doing the beating....but there we are. AI is not perfect!
