Penzance - Sunshine & spectacular Cb (pics)

From Newlyn Green approx 15:00

Cu & Cb right around Mounts Bays.

Blue over the Bay. Cu & Cb down the spine of the Lizard, the cliffs generated some lenticular clouds.

We did have a torrential downpour lasting  25-30 minutes around 11am.

Very cool around noon, near 9C, up to 11C by 3pm, still tending to rise (now 16:00).

Late afternoon maximum of 13.1C, thanks to the good sunny spells. 

A day of 2 distinct halves in Penzance.

N.Scotland,  Monster Cumulonimbus.

But scarcely any wind, so none reached me.

However first Swallows of the season and, although only 11C today, first Orange Tip butterfly.

Both are late by usual timings.
