The thaw has set in. In the background, you can make out the slope of my driveway. That's one reason I am stuck at home.
But hope to be able to get out tomorrow.
Running short of wine, potatoes and toilet rolls.

This snow has made me look back. A photo I took during a big freeze in February 1954 (a 15-year-old at the time).
Location River Yare at Reedham, a few miles inland from Great Yarmouth (where I grew up).
At Yamouth harbour, storm cones advised mariners that something nasty was about to happen. Circa 1957
Reprocessed (brightness & contrast adjusted) from an original negative - rather badly I have to admit.

I commissioned one of my favourite artists John Constable (1776 - 1837) to produce a snow scene.
Not a bad effort for a painter who died more that 180 years ago.
