Bit of a Foehn effect in Penzance as the mist descends into the bay on a F2 westerly wind. Doesn't exactly break but it does brighten sufficiently to boost the temperature to 22.6C (so far) Generally only
18-19C very nearby in the mist/fog, i.e the SST just off the beach. It really is very thick in places. A nightmare for the lifeguards, I've known them red flag beaches in these conditions.
Fistral yesterday, in excellent visibility. One of the Boardmaster's Beach bars. Looks lovely & chilled.
A more typical Newquay crowd after the immediate post Covid nightmare influx of arrogant, selfish, rude visitors who are now probably on a flight to Magaluf. They clearly thought Cornwall was simply a new tourist complex and we were all their servants. Didn't really want wild beaches & scenery, more unlimited fast food, heated pools, theme parks, unbroken sunshine & servants.
Back to sun tomorrow.
Graham (Slight attack of the COVIds - hence the above comment!) so no dip for a few few days.
