A bit of a hiccup yesterdar, a colder, cloudier day with a maximum of 9.8C.

Back to prolonged sunshine today. Chilly night (min 2.9C) but quickly warmed up to 11.2C by noon under prlonged sunshine.

I do love quiet mild sunny weather when it's  rather cold & beak not far up country.

With a couple of days exceptions, been a lovely week or so for mid winter - not even windy! (A major plus for west Cornwall in winter).

Coffee outside in the sun this morning.

Eventual maximum 11.7C. Because of rather chilly nights, the overall mean temperature this month is -0.1C (using 1991-2020 norm). This is fairly typical of Atlantic fringes of the UK. (Aaround 0C in the Hebrides and Atlantic coast of Ireland, -0.3C up country a bit at Camborne)

Yet another morning with a dark grey cloud on the forecast but lovely blue sky in reality.

More in the way of high frontal cloud to the south now though, a change on the way. Last rain day was 11th.

(smug)  Graham : " Coffee outside in the sun this morning."

We are all supposed to have a few percent of Neanderthal in our DNA, some individuals more than others.

Now Neanderthals were far better at coping with cold climates than sapiens.
Cold does not suit me one little bit, so presumably I have very little (if any) Neanderthal.
Now being able to sit outside for a coffee suggests a very different percentage.
