There's been a fir bit on the news about poor weather over recent weeks, followed by 'Summer's finally arrived' a week or so ago. But it's seemed OK her, mixed but certainly far worse years. Anyway, I checked the last 3 months and:-
RAINFALL Actual 1991-2020 norm % of norm
MAY 38.4mm 71.2mm 54%
JUNE 37.2mm 70.9mm 53%
JULY 76.1mm 79.9mm 95%
TOTAL 151.7mm 222.0mm 68%
Temperature Deviation from 1991-2020 norm
MAY 1.1C
JUNE 0.0C
JULY -0.4C
So much of the rainfall has been inland home grown convectional storms, rather than organised frontal systems.
