One would expect the UKMO to be aware of the correct definition of a "heat wave", and not indulge in tabloid style headlines.
But there again I remember the "Barbecue Summer", forecast a few years back.

You might remember a news release with that title but do you remember what it actually said? I remember that we told the Press Office it was a stupid title but they just wanted a 'sexy' title.
