It is often the the case in a SE wind, that the windiest spots in Cornwall are along along the north Cornish coast. Today being a case in point.
Newquay (St Mawgan)
13:50 20mph
14:50 20mph
15:50 25mph
Admittedly an exposed spot, certainly no more so than Culdrose (around 15mph at the time) or the hill top airfield stuck out in the Atlantic ocean on Scilly.
13:00 15mph
14:00 12mph
15:00 10mph
In the far west Zennor is prone to some very gusty winds in a SE wind.
After rising to 18.7C cloud spread in 13:00. A little showery rain, but nothing much so far, certainly <0.5mm. Driving past Marazion 13:00 the car thermometer rose from 18C in Penzance, wind along/onshore, to 20C on the Marazion by-pass, where the wind was offshore.
