I never realised that there was a dying occlusion lying across central southern England and central Wales at midnight - now where did that come from?
Anyway it must have cleared back west again, because it's been a sparkling afternoon in mid-Devon since the low cloud of this morning cleared away, leaving CAVOK conditions, and making such a change after all that medium and high level cloud of yesterday.
Warm in the west and north colder in the southeast.
