36.8 mm in my 5-inch rain gauge.
No thunder and no June record.
I had 47.5 mm on 24th June 2005.

We missed it Len (just!). I say (according to DB) 56mm in Plymouth yesterday.

1.6mm here in the 24 hours to 09:00 today. About half in a little patchy rain yesterday morning, and the rest in an overnight shower. I did drive to Helston yesterday morning, and it was a good deal wetter 10 miles to the ESE, but still probably <5mm.

This morning the rain has plumed north just to the east again, a bit of a recurring theme lately. Barely measurable rain since 09:00, no real puddles. The radar suggests we may get some rain shortly, blustery SSE wind ahead of it now. Time will tell how much or whether it all slips just to the east again.

Well to the west of any real rain out on Scilly, Tresco 12:15, where it's a pleasant enough day, so far.

Having had 36.8 mm on the 12th from the first strand of the plume,
it was followed on the 13th with a second strand giving 44.4 mm ending midnight,
so that is 81.2 mm altogether.
Total so far for June 101.8 mm
30-yr average for June 67.6 mm

Most of the heavy rain and thunder was just to our west but still copped a few heavy downpours.

Monthy total up to 44.0 mm and that is pretty much spot on the average for the entire month of June.

Don't need anymore rain now, let the sunshine commence.
