I've got these figures for the sunshine at Camborne for 12th-30th May inclusive (19 days)

Most recent date at the top, date in non UK format, but beggars can't be chosers.

Is there anybody that cam tell me what % of available sunshine that is (Nick?)

Thanks in anticipation

Hello Graham

Camborne 12th - 30th May inc:
Sunshine = 224.9 hours
Average = 11.8 hours per day
Percentage of available sunshine = 75%

This is impressive and compares well with my figures (May 12th - 30th):
Sunshine = 236.0 hours
Average = 12.4 hours per day
Percentage of available sunshine = 79%

To get an understanding of percentage of available sunshine figures, a bit of context is needed. Here in the Otter Valley which is one of the sunnier spots in Britain, 50% would be the average for May. Anything over 60% and you're doing well. Over 70% is extreme and rarely occurs. May 2020 was my sunniest May with 358 hours for the whole month, this was 74% of the available total.

Overall, May 2023 had 292.9 hours of sun, that's a very healthy 64% of the total available for the whole month.
