SYNOP: 11375 11503 10101 20090 40182 52014 69902 81500 333 20082 31005 81708=
Rain, heavy at times before 1800z, stopped by 1945z.  Cloudy/overcast breaking overnight.  Patchy stratus coming over Wenlock Edge and also visible to the NW over the Long Mynd.  Moderate or poor visibility initially becoming good early evening.  Surface wind SSW F4 with gusts to 27 knots, easing to F2-3 after 2000z, reaching F4 at times 0000z to 0300z, then backing SSE F2-3 after 0300z.  Minimum temperature so far is 8.2 (0341z).

Stratus became convective before 0700z, increased to about half cover for a time but is now decreasing.  Cirrus quickly spreading in over the past hour.  Good or very good visibility.  Surface wind SSE F2-3 veering S F3-4.

Small amount of shallow convective cloud under cirrus layer, dense in places.  Very good visibility.  Surface wind S-SSW F4 with gusts to 24 knots.

Small amounts of shallow cumulus.  Standing waves highlighted by altocumulus lenticularis to NW.  Cirrus above, mostly dense.  Very good visibility.  Surface wind S F4 with gusts to 26 knots.  Maximum temperature so far is 18.7 (1423z).
