Rain, heavy at times before 1800z, stopped by 1945z.  Cloudy/overcast breaking overnight.  Patchy stratus coming over Wenlock Edge and also visible to the NW over the Long Mynd.  Moderate or poor visibility initially becoming good early evening.  Surface wind SSW F4 with gusts to 27 knots, easing to F2-3 after 2000z, reaching F4 at times 0000z to 0300z, then backing SSE F2-3 after 0300z.  Minimum temperature so far is 8.2 (0341z).
