This is really a test message - to see how photos come out in the new system.

View west in Molesey at 10am today.   The sun's about to come out!  Only for a few minutes - the cloud on the right horizon soon moved in, as Meteosat showed nicely.

I'd intended to add a sunset photo here to show how little cloud edge had moved but annoyingly I get a message saying the post is too long.   Both photos were 'best fit' size.

And here's the view from Hampton Court Bridge at 3.30pm - barely any sunshine.  The cloud did then get a  move on SE'wards.  Clear and cold here now.  I see that Benson has fog.  Another night of variable road surface temperatures.

Best fit now seems large ?????     Maybe that's why initial post was 'too long'.

You may have to reduce the original image a bit, no more than 1000 pixels wide is ever required. It copes with a fair bit more than that, but I suspect 4000pixels wide is about the limit, so 2 photos that size or bigger might have pushed it over the edge.

At least it looks bright, if not sunny.

Graham.

Thanks for the suggestion, Graham.

At least it looks bright, if not sunny.   The bit in between was not bright - the cloud to SE thickened steadily through the day.   However, clear and almost down to 0 C here now.
