Yesterday wasn't bad, only a moderate east wind, prolonged sunshine (>7 hours at nearby Bosullow) and a maximum of 5.0C. Out of the wind & in the mid February sunshine it was OK.

Increasing wind overnight, minimum 0.9C. Biting F5-6 E wind now. Temperature fluctuating as the wind sucks in bits of sea air, and then comes more down the spine of Cornwall. Generally in the 2-3C range. Light showery rain has now turned more to snow pellets. Currently 3C at Culdrose with the wind off Falmouth Bay, 1C at Camborne, 2C at Lands End airport.

If the wind backs just a little we're more likely to get proper snow, at the moment you need to be near the north coast. A friend at Porthtowan reports snow on his surfboard!

Proper moderate wet snow, temperature down to 1.5C and falling. Velux covered, not settling on the ground currently. Wind seems to have backed slightly, so more alongshore and off the LIzard, rather than onshore off the sea. Makes a 2-3C temperature difference in these conditions. Down to 0C now at Newquay.

MetO shows rain still. Heavy snow right down to sea level in places. Nothing settled in Penzance so far.
