Chilly indeed, and very nice too! It looks as though 5 more sites had an air frost (details on Colin's post later). Aboyne met site must be in just the right place for a frost hollow as it is often colder at night than Braemar and Balmoral. These were slightly below 0 and the other sites below were Fyvie Castle (Aberdeenshire) and Kielder Castle (Northumberland). Something about castles obviously. Her Maj has had quite a chilly stay at her castle this year.
Down here the morning chill is incredibly welcome after the warmth of the summer. 1.6C min at nearby Wisley.

Oh, and the 5th site was Ravensworth, North Yorkshire.
