Plenty of blue sky out on Scilly at the moment.

I think any sunshine in Cornwall (Scilly isn't part of Cornwall) will be limited to near sea level, but at least there's hope.

It may look flat in the Channel between Tresco and Bryher, but there's been a big powerful swell running for a while now.

Sennen this morning. Plenty chancing it. A few bodyboarders in the white water to the right edge of the picture. The big sets are 10'

Breaks in the low cloud now just visible well offshore. It should clear at beach level, but the uplift over the cliffs will mean it will stay dull a few hundred yards inland (probably).

Min 15.1C last night, so a very mild night.

Seeing those waves I just had to pop out. F3-4 offshore wind on the beach, rather less than forecast & the surf was perfect for the brave, too much for me. Mobile pics with rather a lot of zoom, does compress the waves to make them look far closer together than they are. A good 10' swell

Spindrift off the wave tops filled the air with salt spray

Shortly after those pictures were taken the sun came out. Currently 16.3C in Penzance, windier here with an onshore SSW F5.
