NOTES
There is support for a basic cool West vs. mild/warm Central, East alignment next month. But one or two backdoor cold frontal or wedge passes may keep readings along the Eastern Seaboard near seasonal averages.
Severe weather potential will be highest from Texas and the Great Plains into the Mississippi Valley. But there are indications of a drier pattern shaping up under ridging from the Corn Belt into the Mid-Atlantic region.
Note the precipitation and wind spikes in Texas. A risk is present for a weak tropical cyclone to affect the Lone Star State or nearby locations, most probably late in the month.
