University of MN Aerospace Engineering Department Tour

1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Anyone Needing a Ride: Meet at EHS East Entrance at 12:30 p.m.

Thanks to Steve Siirila’s employment/connections at the University of MN, Eagan Robotics students have an opportunity to tour the UMN Aerospace Engineering Departments next week. We can take up to 32 students, provided we have 8 adults/mentors who are able to drive students. If some students come on their own, less carpooling may be needed. Please sign up below as soon as possible. Please note there are the top area is for student sign-up’s and the bottom area is for adult/mentor sign-up.

The Schedule:

1:30: Arrive at Northrup Auditorium Turnaround and meet UMN of hosts

1:30 to 2:45: Walking Tour of East Bank Campus

2:45 to 3:15 Undergraduate Q & A Panel

3:15 to 4:30: Tour of Wind Tunnel, Rocketry, Ballooning, Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and High Altitude Student Payload (HASP) labs

4:30: Departure from Northrup Turnaround

Parking Information and Campus Maps:

1. I would recommend the parking lot, 37, just north of Mariucci Arena.
Parking there is $4/day and the walk is not bad.

2. The closest and most convenient parking for Akerman Hall is the
Washington Ave. Parking Ramp, but it's a bit pricy.
