Good morning,

I'm contacting you as a member of a new mentor sub-team of the Eagan High School Blue Twilight Robotics team.  Our sub-team consists of female mentors who have a goal to increase female student participation in STEM through an increased participation in robotics or robotics related activities.

We are interested in gaining insight from teachers from Blackhawk and Dakota Middle, and Eagan High School about how we can better reach out to female students.
We would like to dispel myths about STEM/robotics and spread the word about how participation in robotics programs/activities can boost female confidence and interest in this field of study.  We would SO value your help and invite you to our next meeting on Tuesday, August 20th at 7 p.m. (Most likely at Eagan High School, but the location is being determined.)

We know this is still summer break, so understand you may be unavailable, but sure appreciate any input you can offer at this meeting or otherwise.

Thanks for all you do.

Good evening,

Just a reminder about our Women in Robotics meeting this Tuesday, August 20th at 7 p.m. at Eagan High School.  We'll meet in Room 80 which is the second room on the left as you enter through the East Entrance.

Our main focus this meeting is to explore possible ways we can collaborate with the middle and high school teachers.  I'm so pleased that Janet Rohlf (8th Grade DHMS Science Teacher) and most likely, Eric Schmidt (DHMS GT Teacher and Future City Lead Faculty), will be joining us.  We look forward to gaining some insight about how we can work together to increase female student participation in Eagan Robotics and STEM activities.

I know many of the WIRED (Women in Robotics Empowering Daughters) group will be out of town this week.  Just a challenging time of year.  If anyone attending or not attending has some questions they would like to send me prior to the meeting, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks much again, and please let me know if you're able to come Tuesday.
