Good morning, Claire.
Thank you for the flyer and Registration information for the upcoming "Girls STEM Day" event for female middle school students. Eagan Robotics "WIRES" (Women in Robotics Empowering the Sisterhood) is happy to share this information with our own middle school students to encourage them to participate. I've sent this to our FTC Lead Mentor for distribution. And I'm copying some other contacts whom I think can be very helpful in spreading the word to potential participants. Just pointing out that registration is required and there is a $5 fee. There's a limit of 45 participants and the registration closes by November 10th, if not before because the event has filled.
I also understand you're looking for female FRC/high school students to volunteer the day of the event. I'm copying our FRC Captains and will ask that they send this out. From your email below, they would be needed 11:30 to 3. And are invited to stay for the Career Fair from 3 to 4. They would need to eat before they arrive. Do you know how many volunteer positions you're looking for?
And it sounds like you'd also like female STEM professionals to come to be exhibitors. Do you have a maximum number for that? Do you have a list of who has already committed and what companies/organizations they are from? Might help us as we're asking so we are not duplicating efforts. Again, I've sent this to some others who could possibly invite others.
I was also wondering if you would be willing to share with your exhibitors and participants some information about an upcoming STEM Career Fair that District 196 is hosting on Monday, February 23rd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. I believe this event has been more geared towards high school/8th grade students and both female and male students and professionals, but there were 50 female exhibitors there last year. Would be great to let your participants/exhibitors know. Especially any student or professional who cannot attend on November 22nd but may be interested in another opportunity. For more information, please visit this web site: http://www.district196.org/evhs/stem_fair/stem_fairdefault.aspx or contact Cathy Kindem at Cathy....@district196.org.
Thanks very much and I hope to be back in touch with volunteers and other help. Feel free to reach out to Maddie Elsenheimer (WIRES Student Lead who is copied here) and me too.

Subject: Re: Girls Stem Day on November 22nd
Good Evening,
Here are the forms for my STEM Event for middle school girls. If you could get these out to middle school girls that would be wonderful. Thank you for your help.
In addition to middle school girls to attend my event, I am looking for high school girls to help run the activities. High school volunteers would be needed from 11:30 to 3, and could certainly stay for the career fair, which runs from 3 to 4.
And women with STEM professions to host a booth at a career fair, which is part of the event. Professional volunteers for the career fair would be needed from 2:30 to 4.
Thank you for your help.
