Hi WAFS!
The D&I Subgroup is picking a meeting date! Please let us know which Tuesday would be better for you: December 5th or December 12th. We will plan to meet at 5:30 on the Tuesday that works for the majority of poll respondents. I will close the poll tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm so that we can have the most notice possible.

Hey WAFS,
There will also be a policy subgroup meeting on Thursday (11/30) at 5:45pm at Webster’s to discuss potentially writing an op-ed about how the proposed tax reform plans will impact science broadly, beyond the graduate student waivers. Would also love to hear other strategies on how WAFS can engage with the public on this issue.
Just some brainstorming thoughts:
- How will science be impacted by corporate tax cuts?
- How does the funding dynamic change, and will this impact what science is supported?

Hey everyone,
Based on the doodle poll the meeting will be Tuesday, December 5th (this upcoming week) at 5:30, at Websters (so those of you interested can go back and forth between Edu and D&I). Bring your ideas and fury, we have a lot of work to do.
