Add more compatibility for newer apps and stability for your AMD GPUs, especially the old AMD GPUs that has dropped support from AMD Official Drivers. Most of the common bugs that were found in official drivers has been fixed in the R.ID Drivers.
There is no need to worry about security issues. WHQL support is included with the drivers which allows you to use most apps that use DRM protection. Now with WHQL Emulation, make it easier to update windows safely, and even if whql state is NO, you can play online games anytime you want!
As the title says is it worth it to upgrade from normal drivers to modded ones (nimez etc).
What are the advantages and disadvantages when it comes to modded drivers. Does it make your gpu last shorter or longer perhaps? Are the drivers open source? Thank you for anyone answering my questions!
Introduction
The Hardware manufacturers do not only develop and build special devices, but are responsable as well for the delivery of appropriate drivers, which are needed by the OS for the detection and a proper function of the related hardware device. Sometimes it happens, that hardware manufacturers do release or have released device drivers, which are running fine with a specific Windows Operating System and the HardwareIDs of a device, but cannot be manually installed from within the Device Manager because of a faulty or incomplete INF file.
Here are some examples:
Connect your mouse temporarily to an USB 2.0 or a non-Intel USB 3.0 port, then install the required Intel USB 3.0 Hub driver.
After the next reboot all Intel USB 3.0 ports will work fine with the new Intel drivers.

I hope, that these informations may destroy some worries regarding the usage of a "modded" driver.

What is the use case?
Peg/Cut out animation that relies heavily on time offset modifiers. Using drivers all modifiers can be controlled. Drivers can be connected to custom properties and those properties could then be baked into the pose library. Currently I accomplish this with a custom written addon.
What happens is probe will be called when I unplug it,or atleast the printk inside isn't called until then. Then the disconnect function is called. Using bind and unbind for the drivers in /sys/bus/usb/drivers does the same thing.
If you look at the source code of linux/drivers/hid/hid-generic.c (the driver that is being checked for compatibility before any custom drivers), you can see that it calls the bus_for_each_drv macro in its match function. It loops through every driver registered for the given bus (hid_bus_type in this case), and checks whether the hid_device struct instance representing the recently plugged-in device matches the ids in the driver's id table (its hid_device_id table).
As far as I can see from a quick glance at the hid_device_probe function in linux/drivers/hid/hid-core.c, the only way to assign some non-HID driver, e.g. a usb_driver to an HID device is to bind a specific driver to your device, which should avoid having to go through any of these matching procedures, but I might be wrong about this.
From browsing this forum, I gathered that some (most?) IKEA products were not usable with Hubitat because they were using group binding. This problem was fixed in the latest firmwares, so please upgrade to the latest versions before using these drivers.
Using HPM: Search for the package name IKEA Zigbee drivers (by Dan Danache). When installing the package, you can select from the list only the drivers that you need. Later, (after a trip to IKEA) you can add/remove drivers in the list using the "Modify" option in HPM.

Everything I can find about the P106 + Plex is about windows. I don't care if it maybe works on windows, I use linux primary on my server. Somewhere I read there are also linux modified drivers, but was not able to find them.

I realize I am tackling a monster here by putting forth rating modified drivers. This is a brutally tough task to narrow down a list of these considering the amount of modified racing I have seen over the years, and honestly this blog took me several days to process and write. My main focus will be eastern South Dakota and North Dakota, Minnesota and western Wisconsin since those were the areas where I attended the most races.

He is a five-time Wissota national champion, joining Jones as one of two drivers with five Wissota national titles. Thatcher ran against some stout competition at Cedar Lake Speedway for several years. He also ventured into Minnesota to run some bigger money shows and was always a contender. Another guy who is very smooth and a good, clean racer who has been competitive in USMTS shows in recent years.
