Hi everyone,
As you may know, the last months I've been engaged in a sort of Sustainability Assessment for small wind turbines.
To be specific, this was a comparison of commercial and locally manufactured small wind turbines, from a sustainability perspective and
from the viewpoint of different stakeholders.
I want to share with you a presentation I made on this subject and receive your feedback. As we would like to write a longer article and present it in a conference in September, your criticism is really more than welcome!
What this work wants to be, is basically a decision support framework that is participative and integrates criteria of sustainability, in order to decide between different rural electrification alternatives. In my case, only small wind turbines are compared, but it could be applied to other technologies as well (solar, hydro, etc).
It would be great if this could be practically applied in India, where we will possibly have various group of stakeholders: manufacturers, designers, users, NGOs, companies, policymakers. We could take advantage of this gathering and collect the criteria that each stakeholder group has in order to choose a rural electrification system. Then we could apply the framework and compare different technologies/delivery models.
Thanks in advance if you give some time to read it and share your thoughts!
If you are interested send me a mail and I can share with you a short paper we have written on this subject.
Cheers,
Katerina
