Hello everyone!

We would like your feedback about the best way to conduct the delivery models survey.

Our plan is to use two methods in parallel:
1) a short questionnaire to obtain the technical information (like the technology used, produced kWh, location and year of installation) in a clear, plain way

2) a more communicative tool to obtain the more social information (like the needs and capacity of the community, management model, scale up of the project,...). This tool can be either a Skype interview or a recorded set of questions (audio or video that we will send and they will send us back their recorded answers).

Which one (interview or recorded session) do you think is more simple and convenient for the respondents?

Also do you think that using both tools 1) and 2) makes things complicated for the respondent? We thought that answering a few questions in a written form is simple and will make the interview part shorter.

Waiting for your feedback!

Cheers,
Katerina-Guillermo

Hey guys
I think you will get more replies by doing just interviews, but you can always try both and see how it goes. It might change case by case but it's hard to know it in advance.
Good work!
Cheers

Hi guys,

I’d say send them the tech questions in advance and tell them that they can fill them in and send them back if they have time to do so. If not, you can ask them in the interview itself. Ppl will prob want to know what the questions are in advance anyway as they may not have all the information to hand, so at very least sending qs in advance will allow them to prepare.

Im not sure that many ppl will go for the recorded session option and it doesn’t allow you to ask follow up qs for clarification

Cheers,
Jon

Hello,

Thanks a lot!! We agree that it is much better if we send them the questions first so that they can prepare if they want.

And since you all agree we are going to do interviews. We can record them, I tried a free recorder application and it seems to work fine.

We are preparing our questions now, so we will try to gather the more technical questions and give them the option to complete them before the interview.

In the next days we want to send you our questions and get your comments, also about the way we have structured them.

Cheers,
Katerina
