Hi everyone,

WEPatagonia2016 is less than a month away and we have started preparing for the WG sessions!

After the presentation of the Delivery Models kick starter project, we will make group discussions in 6 groups of around 10 people.

Is there a specific topic concerning delivery models that you would like to discuss in this session? Send us your suggestions!

Such topics could be:

- how to improve what was done these two years
- specific things where our group had an internal debate
- which 2 projects to tackle next
- ...
- ...
- ...

We will have 1h30min for these group discussions so let's all think what we would like to discuss!

Cheers,
Katerina

Hi,

Looking forward to this season. I am in Cordoba with Guille at the moment.

Other topics for discussion:
  • How can we create sustainable delivery models that are appropriate for the Argentine context?
  • What are the most successful delivery models that WE members have employed? Which aspects of these could be replicated elsewhere?

Cheers,
Jon

Hello! Othet topics that we can discuss:

The initial diagnosis: Why is important? What kind of social dimensions we have to consider in the Initial Diagnosis? (such as characterize the community-decision making in the community, socio-economic analysis of community level analysis local knowledge, identification of collective community spaces). What tools proposed to evaluate impacts throughout the different stages of the project? (Local socio-economics impacts)

“Successfuls” tools based on local experiences: why they are considered "successful"? They can be replicated in yours projects?

is possible to generate a DM "Ideal" for all member organizations WE? Formulate an "ideal" DM, indicating the dimensions to consider and how these dimensions will be addressed

Local financing tools: can you identify local fundraising experiences in yours experiences? What are their limitations and their contributions? What actions implemented to strengthen these local actions? What financing tools could work together with the community?

Great!!

I think we can consider Guillermo's 2nd topic very similar to Jon's 2nd topic and merge them in one.

So we have:

1. What are the most successful delivery models/tools that WE members have employed? Why are they considered successful? Which aspects of these could be replicated elsewhere? (Jon/Guillermo)

2. How can we create sustainable delivery models that are appropriate for the Argentine context? (Jon)

3. The initial diagnosis: Why is it important? What kind of social dimensions we have to consider in the Initial Diagnosis? (such as characterize the community, decision making in the community, socio-economic analysis of community level, analysis of local knowledge, identification of collective community spaces). What tools are proposed to evaluate impacts throughout the different stages of the project? (Local socio-economic impacts) (Guillermo)

4. Is it possible to generate an "ideal" DM for all WE member organizations? Formulate an "ideal" DM, indicating the dimensions to consider and how these dimensions will be addressed (Guillermo)

5. Local financing tools: Can you identify local fundraising actions in your experiences? What are their limitations and contributions? What actions were implemented to strengthen these actions? What financing tools could work together with the community? (Guillermo)

This conference session will be the chance to discuss all the ideas/concerns that you have about the delivery of your projects! So if anyone has a topic in mind that is not covered by the above, please share it here.

Cheers,
Katerina

Hello,

This session sounds great. Unfortunately we are not able to come to WE this time but will it be possible to listen to/ watch/ read summaries of the discussions after the event?

Thanks,

Robin

Hi Jack,

All presentations will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube, we are planning on offering some live streaming too, arranging in next few days which sessions these will be.

Cheers,

Thank you Esteban and everyone!

6. What kind of challenges have the different organizations met in the past? Were there last minute unexpected problems? How have they worked on them? (Esteban)

One more suggestion:

7. How to form a network of small wind turbine enthusiasts in each country? Different levels of networking from local regional networks to country networks over a web platform.
What is required in terms of human resources, skills, facilities, finance?
Examples and best practices from other countries. Expected advantages of such networks in local and country level. (Katerina)

Cheers,
Katerina
