Hello everyone,

Last year's kick-starter project conducted several interviews with Wind Empowerment members to find out the delivery models they have used in small wind turbine projects.
The collected experiences are presented in this report in the form of a Delivery Models guide.

This final report is going to be sent to WISIONS and with it there is a chance to send a proposal in order to receive some extra funding for the Delivery Models group.

The idea is to build further on the work we have already done, for example to present the information in a more user-friendly form than a report.

Are there any thoughts about how to extend and improve last year's work?

Some ideas are:
  • enriching the website's project database with the collected experiences
  • preparing an easy-to-read manual for delivery models, with photos, text, decision flow-charts and diagrams
  • conducting some more interviews to enrich our survey's sample

If you have some ideas and/or are interested to work on the above subjects, share your thoughts here!

Cheers,

Katerina

Hello everyone!
Very good ideas Katenina!! I totally agree on finding more friendly ways of socializing the knowledge gained from the interviews and their processing. I add another idea below yours

Some ideas are:

    • enriching the website's project database with the collected experiences
    • preparing an easy-to-read manual for delivery models, with photos, text, decision flow-charts and diagrams
    • conducting some more interviews to enrich our survey's simple
    • Record short videos of 30 minutes explaining the concept of Delivery Models and their application in practical experiences. The practical experiences can be recorded locally by its protagonists

Also commented on the lines of work to follow during this year, related to the Research on DM. These Investigations will be done with voluntary work in the DM group. Can also be formulated as a continuation of the kick starter project

    • Work on the theoretical definition of the Delivery Model concept based on practical experiences. We need a more refined definition, and therefore simpler to understand and apply

    • Construction of a Model that allows to catalog different Delivery Models according to variables and measurable indicators (eg, degree of community participation, degree of diffusion of knowledge, among others)

    • Work on a Toolkit of Solidarity Economy to generate resources locally (for example: Community Savings Banks)

    Cheers!
    Guille

      Hi Guillermo,

I like your idea about the videos! In the proposal, we should make it a bit more specific and be sure that what we suggest is something achievable.
Filming people talking about their experiences might not be so easy, except in Argentina where you already have access to some people.

But I like the idea of videos explaining the concept!

It would be great if we could have feedback from other people also on these ideas for the DM proposal! I add some people in cc.

      Cheers,
      Katerina

Thank you Jessica for your feedback!

      • Have we started to add information on the WG-DM part of the website?

Guillermo will start working on the web page next weekend.

      What about follow ups?

Follow ups is a very good idea, especially for projects which were just implemented and their impact had not yet been obvious. Thank you, we will include this in the proposal!

Let me know how I can help,
Thanks again, we'll let you know!

      Cheers,
      Katerina
