There's a zillion ways we can go with this. Keeping with a book theme,
a leathery background with a stamped color image is one option. I made
a rough draft of one of the countless variations of a book cover.

That could work.
Could we use an already existing picture and just stick it on the back?

That would also work. What did you have in mind?

How about using one of the WE T-shirt designs?

Weird. First, my posts aren't making it to the group 100% of the time
for some strange reason. Second, the latest post that's been eaten
was saying what Tongster said - we could ask Llama if we could use her
stick figure and red balloon (or some variation thereof) from the This
Shirt Is Pants WE-T-shirt. I kind of like having something unique,
but I could go either way.

We could talk to Llama and see if we could use her This Shirt Is Pants
stick guy with balloon? Though I think I like the idea of something
original for the deck, but I could go either way.

Uh, yeah, apparently both posted *sigh* Whatever... stoopid google.

'these cards are pants' + stick figures + balloon would be full of
win, if not for the theme and art then for the fact that most people
wouldn't understand the slogan. Gives you something to talk about.

So, a T-shirt design? Something new?

What's the webigramthingywhateveryoucallit being designed for? It just
occurred to me that I thought that was supposed to be the card back.
Honestly, I would prefer we come up with something unique to the
cards, something with a red balloon (since that's our calling card
*ahem*) but not a play on a previous project. Just my two cents.

I started making the ambigram as a card back or logo idea (and to get
familar with the 'Shoop Pen tool again), but it was never agreed upon
by anybody to be for anything in particular. I'm throwing out as many
ideas that I can come up with.

(cardback2.jpg)

Here's another idea, based on the 'this shirt is pants/hot lewd nerds'
theme.

^^ edit ^^

In the end after we decide the card backs, we'll still need 70-100
drawings for everything else, so everyone, don't feel shy about
submitting more ideas and art because we'll need them!

Another quickie design. It's missing something, I think.

Har. Didn't realize how close it resembled the first style I posted!

I won't draw my next idea because I'm afraid it'll get a NO.

Ed Gorey cartoon style: Man selling balloons gives a balloon to a
child. Both look up in horror to see a similar (red) balloon floating
in the sky with a man hanging from it. I mean -hanged- from the neck,
dead.

I thought it was interesting. :p

It is *interesting* but I don't know that it's *appropriate*

Also I would contribute art but have no scanner. If I do anything
it'll be in Paint...

Even photos you take or textures you see on the webs would be helpful.
Or movie posters that you'd like to see WE-ified.

I told my Boss (BeeZee) about the Ed Gorey idea and now I'm forced to
draw it, deck-appropriate or not. 8)

It's prolly been said elsewhere, I haven't read anything in a while
(been obsessed with knitting, sorry) but that one picture with the WE
motto on it - I think it was meant to be printed out as stationery?
That could be a card back. Or at least be the Hijack Card?

I really like Card back 2, the t-shirt based design. It is awesome. I
vote for that one.

I too want to see the Ed Gorey design, only not on the back of the
cards. :p

I like Card Back 2 as well. Intentional or not, the thrown cards with
the action lines evoke the alien mod and the two cards in front of the
guy evoke ... well, I was going to say Tongster and bewbs and the hot
lewd factor :) I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the girl in
the middle, but for me the whole thing works, so maybe some tweaks on
that to see different ideas?

MEH- -  I find myself playing the Newb card already. -There is so much that I still don't know here that I am paralyzed on ideas.
I"ll be happy to help interpret ideas into a visual format, but probably need more background on some of these concepts before I
open my mouth much in this forum.         ***  Til then call me 'Archive Lurker'.
Do let me know when we've got art to hash out tho <---(Melanie/Furi/Count/Art folk), and I'll snap-to.

PS- So many email addy's I lost this one for a bit.
Back in the saddle now.

I've been slacking with this (although I've done a few throwaway test
runs on paper) because I've realize what a pain in the ass it is to
create a Goreyesque cartoon, because the big dummy used tiny frickin'
ink lines and crosshatching for everything <<insert mad face here>>.
I can do it, buuut if we're not 100% on using the toon someplace I'm
going to do it in my style and media (smoodgey-woodgey charcoal or
pencil) to keep my sanity. Who needs non-photo blue pencils? FAH!

That came out better than I expected. Needs tweaking for clarity.

I'm not sure either. Just had her sitting staring intently at her
cards

Bewbs, eh? I like bewbs.
