There's a zillion ways we can go with this. Keeping with a book theme,
a leathery background with a stamped color image is one option. I made
a rough draft of one of the countless variations of a book cover.

and JP, i find the posts I make don't seem to show, unless i go back
to the homepage.
Hot Lewd Cads?
(cardback2.jpg)
Here's another idea, based on the 'this shirt is pants/hot lewd nerds'
theme.
In the end after we decide the card backs, we'll still need 70-100
drawings for everything else, so everyone, don't feel shy about
submitting more ideas and art because we'll need them!
Another quickie design. It's missing something, I think.
I won't draw my next idea because I'm afraid it'll get a NO.
Ed Gorey cartoon style: Man selling balloons gives a balloon to a
child. Both look up in horror to see a similar (red) balloon floating
in the sky with a man hanging from it. I mean -hanged- from the neck,
dead.
I thought it was interesting. :p
Also I would contribute art but have no scanner. If I do anything
it'll be in Paint...
I told my Boss (BeeZee) about the Ed Gorey idea and now I'm forced to
draw it, deck-appropriate or not. 8)
I too want to see the Ed Gorey design, only not on the back of the
cards. :p
I've been slacking with this (although I've done a few throwaway test
runs on paper) because I've realize what a pain in the ass it is to
create a Goreyesque cartoon, because the big dummy used tiny frickin'
ink lines and crosshatching for everything <<insert mad face here>>.
I can do it, buuut if we're not 100% on using the toon someplace I'm
going to do it in my style and media (smoodgey-woodgey charcoal or
pencil) to keep my sanity. Who needs non-photo blue pencils? FAH!

That came out better than I expected. Needs tweaking for clarity.

I'm not sure either. Just had her sitting staring intently at her
cards
