• Protective Behaviours Training Opportunities:  (please note, these workshops are not funded by the WCSCF)

- Level 1 Workshop in Stellenbosch - 8-9th June @ Child Welfare Offices

- Networking Meeting for Previously Trained - Somerset West (9th June from 1-3pm), Claremont (10th June from 12-2)

• If you've ever thought about Adoption, Temporary Safe Care or Foster Care, go to the FamilyPlus1 Info Night on 20 May 2015, 18:30 for 19:00 @ Hillsong Church, Century City.  Get accurate information, simple overviews, and your questions answered.  Hear from ordinary people about their experience in a no-pressure, friendly environment.   See poster below or RSVP online for the event: http://www.familyplusone.org/.  We need to empty our Child and Youth Care Centres - the best place for a child is in a loving family!  

• Molo Songololo calls for support for a Joint Submission for Commissioner for Children - please read the attached Draft Submission and see if you can endorse or support it.  Molo Songololo is willing to facilitate presentations by children / young people, so please contact them if your organisation will be making a separate submission or wanting to speak at the hearings.  Hearing Dates:  14 May @ Beaufort West,  20 May @ Caledon,   22 May @ Bellville,   26 May @ Cape Town.  Contact Patric on psol...@molo.org.za.

• 1000 Women United Against Domestic Violence - Luncheon.  Contact Tammy, Cindi or Tina at 021 7828816 or visit www.wheattrust.co.za for more information.The WHEAT Trust, partner of the 1000 Women Trust invests in women-led grassroots organisations that facilitate meaningful change in their communities. Funds raised at this event will strengthen women-led initiatives across the country that work tirelessly to bring hope, protection and knowledge to women and girls.  Table are for 10 persons but individual bookings are also available.

• Abuse Awareness & Form 22 Training Course offered by Ukukhanya on 25th May.  This course will cover Domestic Violence, Correct use of Protection Orders, all forms of Child Abuse, completion of the Form 22.  Attendees will be provided with the Domestic Violence Act, Sexual Offenders Act and the Children's Act.  Please see Course info and Booking form attached.

• The Organisational Puzzle is offering accredited training courses on Monitoring & Evaluation, Fundraising and Strategic Planning from 18-22 May in the Eden Karoo area.  See dates below and invitation (291) attached.

• The StreetSmart Newsletter is below.

 We will be having a WCSCF Strategic Planning Session at our Monthly Meeting in June.  That meeting has been changed to the 24th June.  Please come with your contributions and input of what is important to you in our Sector.  Diarise now.
