1st WCRC SoCal tourney !!!

We've scheduled our first WCRC SoCal tourney! The tourney
is next Saturday, May 12th!
PASS THIS ALONG TO YOUR TEAM MEMBERS!
Let us know if you intend on going - hopefully we can get
some car pools together.
A big thanks to Jon Varona (CSU Fullerton) for helping to
pull everyone together, and helping to secure the
facility. Mike Weil (UCLA) also put in a big effort in
helping to move things forward and to help get a facility.

Hello Everyone!
I know I have been talking about having a Southern
California Collegiate tournament for a while now, and we
finally have a date and time, and a location for the
event. Cal State Fullerton will be hosting this
tournament at Meridian Sports Club, which is 2 minutes
away from campus. This is a top of the line sports
facility. They have plenty of raquetball courts, with
cement walls and wood flooring. They have second level
viewing, and two of the courts have glass back wall. The
details of the tournament are as follows:

- Date: Saturday, May 12
- Tourney will start at 9:00am. Arrive no later than 8:30
to sign in and warm up
- Tourney should be done by 5 or 6:00pm
- The Entry fee is being worked out and will be announced
soon
- Approximately 8 courts will be available for us to use
- Must be a Full-time student to participate. Grad
students can participate also
- Schools can have 1 to 8 men and WOMEN. Let us know if
you have more and we will try and accomodate you.
- Send in rosters by Monday, May 7, to Jon Varona

- Rank players from 1 through 8
- Suggest the division for each player:
- Div. I - Advanced level. A, Elite, Open levels
- Div. II - Interediate level. High C, B Levels
- Div III - Beginner level. Novice, D, C levels
- It will be Olympic format. 3 matches are guaranteed!
- Special Guests!
- We can't bring in tournament food but there is a Cafe
right next to the courts in the lobby
- Towels will be provided
- Lockers are available. Bring your own lock.
- A great day of racquetball! You can also bring your
school work if you need to
- Meet collegiate players in the area - get to know the
competition for next year!

If you could email me back with how many people you expect
to bring so we have an idea of what the turnout will be
like. Please let everyone in your club know about this
event. There has been a lot of time put into this, let's
