We are upgrading the tournament registration, draws, and scheduling
process to use the "R2" system, which is used widely throughout the
racquetball community and the United States Racquetball Association.
This will allow us to have a more streamlined tournament registration
process, and better tracking of matches and start times throughout the day.
In order to fully use the system, we need the following information for
each participant when you provide your rosters:
Name - Division - Email - City - Birth Date
So, Email, City, and Birth Date are new. "City" is the city of their
residence, which might be, say, their parent's and not at the school. A
good number of existing USRA members have an address that is not the
university.
I understand some participants may not want to send this info out with
their rosters, however we will need this information - as we have needed
it for _all_ of our tourneys, when they fill out the USRA membership
form, even if it's a one-time event "membership". So, again, they will
have to provide this info at some point to play the tourney.
All of our tourneys have been sanctioned by the United States
Racquetball Association, and among other things, this provides
supplemental insurance for the tourney, and that requires participants
to provide this information. Again, if they don't want to provide it w/
the rosters you send me, they can fill out a paper form at the tourney
and provide it then.
So, given the need for the additional information, our new deadline for
rosters is end of day Tuesday. Obviously this is getting close the
tourney, so we really really need your rosters by then. If you don't
have Email - City - Birth Date for some participants, send your roster
anyway, and we will gather that info at the tourney.
