Hi All,
Please take a few minutes to vote for the board of directors for the
California/Nevada (CNRA)Racquetball Association. This is a
_volunteer_ board and the people on this board help to shape and
grow racquetball in California & Nevada, and you vote for the
members!
Some people have been on the board and helping to grow racquetball
in California for many years, and Jack Hughes has volunteered his
time for quite a few years at our collegiate tourneys, helping out
and bringing gear to support the events; see below.

Jack Hughes Candidate Statement:
Las Vegas, NV
Given my background outlined below and my passion for the sport I
would like to ask that you consider supporting me to fill a seat on
the CNRA Board of Directors in the upcoming election. I would like
to continue to serve the members of the CNRA and promote the great
game of racquetball.
I have served on the CSRA Board of Directors for a number of years,
and have a strong desire to continue to serve as a CNRA Director. I
believe the partnership of the California State Racquetball
Association and the Nevada State Racquetball Association (CNRA) is a
partnership that can only benefit all the players in both states.
Since I have recently moved to Las Vegas I look forward to working
with those currently supporting Nevada racquetball and making both
states stronger in all aspects of racquetball.
As a CSRA Board member I have served as the CSRA President, CSRA
Vice-President and presently hold the office of CNRA Treasurer. I
also served two four-year terms on the USA Racquetball Board of
Directors. Presently I am a member of the USA Racquetball Hall of
Fame and Annual Awards Committees. I attend as many national
racquetball events as possible as a volunteer and an advocate for
the sport at the state and national level.
In addition to the normal financial duties of Treasurer my
responsibilities also include but are not limited to: calculating
and submitting the state rankings to the CNRA web site, sanctioning
the California and Nevada events with USA Racquetball and processing
the USA Racquetball membership applications from tournaments.
I have served as a tournament director for the State Singles and
Doubles Championships many times, and have worked the tournament
desk at the USA Racquetball National Singles for a number of years.
I continue to assist tournament directors in the use of R2, the
computer tournament software program, whenever they request
assistance. I have also suggested improvements to the R2
coordinator, some of which have been implemented.
Currently I am also a member of the Board of Directors of the
Military Racquetball Federation (MRF) and serve as the Program
Coordinator. The MRF is a non-profit organization promoting and
supporting racquetball tournaments and shootouts at bases throughout
the world. The MRF also promotes racquetball as a means of
rehabilitation of Wounded Warriors through their Racquetball
Rehabilitation Clinics (RRC). We reach out to military bases and
Veteran Administrative hospitals throughout the US. The program is
only four years old and growing in leaps and bounds.
I look forward to continuing to serve our racquetball family!
Thanks for your support,
Jack Hughes
