Good afternoon,

We hope you are excited for the Windy City Rollers league tryouts! Tryouts are on July 29, 2017.

Please fill out this form to sign up for tryouts.

Tryout FAQs.

Schedule: July 29, 2017. There are two heats available.

9:30 to 11:00 a.m.:

• 9:15 a.m.: The space is open for signing waivers (if applicable) and warming up.
  
• 9:30-10:30 a.m.: Off-skates assessment
  
• Includes assessments of fitness/endurance, coachability, risk of injury, attitude/perseverance, etc.
  
• 10:30-11:00 a.m.: Interview
• Each candidate will have a five minute interview with two trainers.
  

12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.:

• 11:45 a.m.: The space is open for signing waivers (if applicable) and warming up.
  
• 12:00-1:00 p.m.: Off-skates assessment
  
• Includes assessments of fitness/endurance, coachability, risk of injury, attitude/perseverance, etc.
  
• 1:00-1:30 p.m.: Interview
• Each candidate will have a five minute interview with two trainers.

Tryout results will be announced via email by 11:59pm on Saturday, July 29th.

Please note that the tryout is off-skates only. If you you have passed your WFTDA minimum skills and would like to tryout for Rioters 2 or home/travel teams, please email try...@windycityrollers.com.

Day of Checklist

• Proof of Health Insurance*
• T-shirt/tank with your assigned number written on the back (number will be assigned once you sign-up)
• Gym Shoes
• Water bottle

*Only required if you have never skated in the WCR practice space in the last 6 months.

Get Your Gear!

Most WCR skaters get their gear (skates, pads, helmets, etc.) through Steve Highley at Lombard Skate Rink. Great news! We have scheduled a time for you to get fitted w/ Steve the same day as tryouts!

Date: Saturday, July 29th

Time: 4:00-6:30 p.m.

Where: Lombard Skate Rink; 201 W 22nd St, Lombard, IL 60148

We highly encourage anyone who doesn't have gear to take advantage of this time slot to get fitted for skates. If you prefer to place your order at a later date (after you find out about tryouts), let Steve know! He can keep your order on file until you are ready to purchase.

Hi, I was wondering if there was any other time to try out for the team? I went to all the training sessions but I had a preplanned trip from July 25-30. If there is any possible way I can tryout before then or even later that Sunday that would be awesome. I would understand if that isn't possible though. Good luck to all the ladies that are trying out this next weekend!

Our alternate tryout date for those who can't make the 29th is Wednesday July 26, but it looks like you will be out of town that day too. I will forward your message on to the gals running tryouts to see if there is anything they can do.
