Dear Helen,

I hope this email finds you well.

My name is Zenith Yassin, and I’m writing on behalf of the Dr. Phil-afel Foundation, a registered non-profit organisation. We focus our work in Hanover Park, supporting children, youth, and adults through educational and empowerment programmes.

As part of our efforts, we are looking to organise outings and programmes that will expose the people we work with to positive, educational experiences beyond their immediate environment. Recently, we took some of our groups to the Shark Education Centre, and we’ve also reached out to the aquarium and planetarium.

At the moment, we are still waiting for our Section 18A status to be finalised and do not have any consistent funding coming in. This is why we are reaching out to explore possible free or sponsored opportunities that would allow us to continue providing these enriching experiences for the community members we serve.

If the Western Cape Education Department offers any support, partnerships, or initiatives for organisations like ours, we would be incredibly grateful to learn more. The children and adults we work with come from Hanover Park, and many of them have limited access to opportunities like these.
