All ages are invited to WCLT activities to discover the wonders of
Westborough’s open spaces and wildlife. For information, please check
the newspapers or our website at www.westboroughlandtrust.org.
Saturday, March 21, 2009 10 a.m. – 12 noon Knights of
Columbus Hall Snakes in Massachusetts and Beyond. Do you wonder what
kind of snakes might be living in the woods near your house? Have you
ever caught a glimpse of a snake just as it disappeared into some
shrubs and wished for a closer look? Here is your chance to see local
and exotic snakes close up. Rick Roth, Director of the Cape Ann Vernal
Pond Team and snake expert, will introduce some of his favorite snakes
and talk about their lives and habits. Sponsored by the Westborough

Saturday, April 25: 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Town-wide Earth Day Clean-up
Join the annual town-wide litter clean-up sponsored by WCLT! Early
birds meet at 6:30 am at West Meadow Plaza traffic island. Families are
invited at 9 am to Lake Chauncy parking lot or Sandra Pond’s Minuteman
Park to be assigned a site to clean up. Wear gloves and sturdy
shoes—trash bags will be provided. Rally your co-workers or neighbors
to form a team to pick up litter and beautify our streets! Contact:

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 WHS Guidance Office DEADLINE for EARTH DAY ESSAYS and WCLT 2009 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
Last day for WHS seniors to submit essays for the WCLT Earth Day Essay
Contest and their scholarship applications to become eligible for the
$500 WCLT Scholarship to be awarded on Graduation Day. Hand in essays
and applications to the WHS Guidance Office. Scholarship details will
