Rereading the description that the group from a prevoius trip read, I
think your gearing will be an important decision for you to make. From
the narrative there is virtually no level riding in those 60 miles,
it's either ascending or descending.
Make no mistake, the 60 miles to Mena, Arkansas with just over 10,000
feet of climbing will be one of the hardest rides you probably ever be
doing. I would suggest if climbing is no your "cup of tea" that you
consider lower geared cassette such as a 12-27.
