Hi All! I'm basically the one in charge of the Zazzle store and merchandise development, so let me point out a few details about the stuff to address many FAQ's I've received.
1. WCC does get money from sales here, in two ways. The first is a 10% royalty on each product - this amount was chosen by WCC to keep costs as low as possible but still bring in money. The second is a bulk bonus - so each month, if total sales reach particular checkpoints ($100, $1000, $5000) WCC will get an percentage of the TOTAL SALES as well as the royalty. So basically the more people buy, the better they do.
2. Sales and promotions from Zazzle do not take away from the money that goes to WCC.
3. Many items, like shirts and mugs, come in multiple styles. I am not going to create the design on every single iteration - you actually have the choice to do that yourself in many cases when you click on the initial item. So if a mug is listed as 15 oz, but you want the 11 oz, just choose that before you add it to your cart. Or shirts that show up as a basic white tee can be put on long sleeve, or feminine cut, or tanks, or different styles, so you're not limited to only what you see.
4. Some products also have a template option, where you can personalize it for yourself - for example, cards are customizable so you can add your own text. Some EPW merchandise has a space for you to include your chat name if you want, and a pet bowl design has a place for your pet's name. I know people like to personalize things, so I do this whenever I can.
5. All the photos used on products, and the designs (which are mine except for the WCC logo), have been approved for use by the WCC staff. I'm constantly getting new photos as they send them to me, and will add new products as I can. Also, when this started as an idea, there were suggestions for logos and phrases - legally some of these cannot be used because of other organizations, and WCC wants to finalize a few to brand themselves with. Until that time I cannot and will not add anything else they haven't approved.
6. I'm always adding new things, and Zazzle's setting for the store main page is to list most popular items. Please hit the View All Items link under the Products title, and then in the right there is a drop down menu for sorting - select Newest to see the latest items that have been added. If you "Like" the store (upper left) you will get notifications from Zazzle by email whenever new items are added, too.
7. If you have questions, comments, concerns, or requests for something I may have missed, please post them in the Zazzle store! If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the main page, there is a comments section. You just have to be signed in. You can also post things here, or in the chat room, but I'm not always able to go back through all the chat comments and would hate to miss a question/request from you.
8. I will periodically post, here and maybe in the chat room, when we hit sales and profit marks. I find it exciting to see how well the merchandise is doing, and I know many of you like to know the real impact your purchases have.
9. If you want to share pictures of yourself with your awesome new WCC swag, please do! I would love to see it :)
10. Tell your friends!
