I request books from the library because if I bought every book I'd be broke.

here are some suggestions I'm going to ask for at my library:

A Big Little Life" by Dean Koontz -

Through a Dog's Eyes by Jennifer Arnold

Scent of the Missing by Susannah Charleson

W. Bruce Cameron's A Dog's Purpose and A Dog's Journey (have a couple boxes of tissue readily available for both of them).

Willie Morris' My Dog Skip and My Cat Spit McGee. Spit McGee is hilarious!!! It's the true story of Willie ( a self proclaimed Dog Person) and a cat that comes into his life after he marries the Cat Woman- I laughed so hard I cried reading this one!

my favorites:

"The Art of Racing in the Rain" Garth Stein

"Blind Courage"- Bill Irwin

"Following Atticus" -Tom Ryan',

 "Until Tuesday" -Luis Carlos Montalvan

 "Merle's Door"-Ted Kerasote

any other suggestions? I'll list my favorite cat stories later

I have put in my request for 5 of the books I have not read yet at my library. Hope they don't all come in at once! Can't wait to read your suggested books.

I have read both Willie Morris' My Dog Skip and My Cat Spit McGee., and loved them both. Now starting "A dogs purpose". My library has all the book suggested on request for me. Any other suggestions?

now for the cat folks, I have 2 favorites. "Homer's Odyssey" - Homer’s Odyssey is the once-in-a-lifetime story of an extraordinary cat and his human companion. It celebrates the refusal to accept limits—on love, ability, or hope against overwhelming odds. By turns jubilant and moving, it’s a memoir for anybody who’s ever fallen completely and helplessly in love with a pet. by Gwen Cooper
and

Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World
