Super Bowl Reporting for the Explore.org Extreme Puppy Sports Network by (E0EPSN) JDR-IN
JDR-IN PUPPY FUN BOWL - #1 - Lulu here…we start the program with a moment of silence, for those service pups that have died at birth or in the past year. God bless them all! Now with the starting lineups…(I revised my schedule, and I’m not texting on the WCC site…didn’t want to cause any problems). Starting lineups for the Service Dog Project: Murphy – DOB – 31 January 2013 Magnus – DOB – 31 January 2013 Mariah – DOB – 31 January 2013 Oscar – DOB – 18 October 2012 Dash – DOB – 2 November 2012 Head Coach – Carlene White Starting lineups foe the Warrior Canine Connection: Blizzard – DOB – 28 December 2012 Breeze – DOB – 28 December 2012 Flurry – DOB – 28 December 2012 Twister – DOB – 28 December 2012 Derecho – DOB – 28 December 2012 Head Coach – Molly Morelli Due to the age and size of the pups, SDP has agreed to field only four pups at one time against the WCC five pup roster. It will take some shrewd coaching by SDP to stay in the game. Next Transmission – 2:30ET
JDR-IN PUPPY FUN BOWL - #2 – Lulu here…the teams are meeting at the 50 yard line and Oscar calls heads on the coin flip by head official Mary the Donkey. It’s tails; the WCC team will have the ball first. The stadium is going wild…SDP fans, all holding wiffle bats have filled the entire stadium seating to my left. The WCC fans, on my right, are packed tightly and out number the SDP crowd by thousands. Here’s the kickoff by Oscar (wearing his Huggies), and Blizzard grabs the ball at the ten, and he’s off to the races, and sprints easily into the end zone for a TD…the point after TD is good, and its now 7-0 in favor of WCC. Timeout SDP. Oscar is furious with the Nuppies, but all they can say is “We can’t see and those Labs are just too fast.” WCC kicks off and Oscar takes a fair catch but almost fumbles the ball at the SDP 10 yard line. Oscar at Quarterback (has a 3’ X 6’ cardboard play card taped to his leg) and takes the snap and throws an interception, returned by Breeze for a TD, the extra point is good, and the first quarter is over with WCC ahead 14-0! Remember - Due to the age and size of the pups, SDP has agreed to field only four pups at one time against the WCC five pup roster. It will take some shrewd coaching by SDP to stay in the game. Dash is on the bench. Next Transmission – 3:30ET
JDR-IN PUPPY FUN BOWL - #3 – Back live with Lulu…things are dim for SDP, as the second quarter is not going well. Oscar threw another interception and fumbled twice, but the defense was magnificent with Magnus & Murphy performing beyond expectations. Halftime finds the SDP team down 14-0. Halftime festivities are being performed by the Baha Men with their hit single from years past “Who let the dogs out?” SDP’s sponsored food teepee is being manned by the BP’s and features a picnic table seating/standing six. The food is prepared and ready for sale…no I’m mistaken, Ebony couldn’t wait…it’s all gone! I noticed that Megan is not in the stands, where could she be? Next Transmission at 4:00ET
DR-IN PUPPY FUN BOWL - #4 – Lulu from California…defense looking better and better for the SDP team at the end of the 3rd quarter the score is now 14-6 as Mariah earlier scored on a fifty yard scamper up the middle, but Oscar unfortunately missed the extra point wide left. The SDP fans were all screaming, “we want Dash, we want Dash, we want Dash!” Poor Oscar…Having to wear the Huggies and occasionally him and the Chuppies getting little respect from the Camera Peeps in their comments on the SDP website. FINAL Transmission at 4:30ET
JDR-IN PUPPY FUN BOWL - #5 FINAL – Lulu…got to catch my breath, I’m panting…this place is going crazy. The WCC Labs took one of Oscar’s early fumbles for another TD at the start of the 4th quarter and led 21-6. Magnus took the ensuing kickoff and ran for 105 yards for a TD and lo and behold, Oscar missed another PAT wide left, and the score was 21-12. Next, WCC received the kickoff and Murphy tackled Flurry hard causing a fumble and Magnus recovered the ball and wiggled his way for a score making it 21-18, as Oscar just barely missed yet another PAT wide left. Ten seconds to go, and Mariah recovers a fumbled SDP onsides short kick by WCC at the SDP 40 yard line. SDP fans were out of control…repeatedly yelling at Coach Carlene, “we want Dash, we want Dash, we want Dash!” Carlene calls a timeout. Oscar looks like he will be attempting a 67-yard field goal to send the game into overtime…the wind is calm, can he make it? On the sidelines, Carlene and Dash are talking to Oscar…Megan & Noel suddenly appear in the crowd and the Nuppies smell them and boy are they wiggling their little tails. Chaos is now talking to Dash and both of them remove the Huggies from Oscar’s waist. Oscar is elated and seconds later lines up for the kick. The kick is up…its way, way, way left…SDP’s crowd are frantically waving their wiffle bats creating quite a wind…and the ball suddenly curves and flutters thru the uprights for a game tying field goal 21-21. “The Wind cries Mariah!” Chaos is on the field (literally)! Coach Carlene & Coach Morelli meet on the field and decide the game is over…the pups have got greater work to do. Yes, our story ends as both teams’ head home continuing their mission providing much-needed Service Dogs to those vitally in need. Keep those contributions coming and be sure to volunteer when you can…both SDP & WCC are proudly sponsored by the EXPLORE Organization. That’s it…I’m going on a long, long vacation. Lulu (formerly known as Order) signs out. Note: Almost forgot, Oscar’s court case was dropped for insufficient evidence and the unruly IRS agents have returned to Washington, completely baffled. God Bless SDP! In the real world, just moments ago, Laura feeding the Chuppies was just magnificent…GREAT WORK Laura! If anyone was ever offended by any of my writings, please take it up with my lawyer Bentley.
