We have 258 responses so far, here is the result, apologies about the delay, I think this is a very good number to work with, so all the other work streams that depend on the survey results can get started, whatever that comes in the coming week or two should not really change our answers that much given that we have so many data points already.

Here is some info on what the museum of natural history is doing in NY -- i will try to take a look at this company and see if I can see any useful/interesting ideas on its website.

The Museum recently outsourced its gift shop operations to an external company.  They are called event network, inc. and they run 150 gift shops in the U.S., including Hawaii. They are based out of San Diego.  The changeover was a bit of a shakeup.  Merchandise changed and Museum employees had to reapply for their jobs.  One woman I talked with didn't seem too happy about the changes.  Here is their contact information:

If you get a response from them, you can do a comparison with perhaps all 150 of their stores!  I don't much about the Gift shop operations here, but I can tell you that the Museum president send in our annual all staff meeting that gift sales are not what they used to be, because of the recession.
