Hey guys, sorry for that spam mail. I wanted to send out a quick update about our mailing lists. There have been too many occurrences of people accidentally mailing software@ with private information. To deal with such problems, I've renamed the wca-software google group from wca-software to wca-software-public.  Moving forward, all public mailing lists will very clearly have a -public suffix. Here's the updated state of the world:

• software@, software-admins@, admin@ all forward to the same private mailing list: wca-...@googlegroups.com.
• software-public@ forwards to the publicly viewable wca-softw...@googlegroups.com

I've upated https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/contact to only mention the private mailing list (software@). As this newly named software-public@ mailing list is not being advertised *anywhere*, I expect it will recieve no traffic at all. The plan in the distant future might be to make software-public@ a place for developers who use the WCA website APIs to subscribe to to be notified of new features/breaking changes/whatever.

If any of you do enjoy seeing our WCA software emails, but aren't on software@ (aka: wca-admin@googlegroups.com), please reach out to me, and I'll most likely be happy to add you to software@!

Please accept my apologies for the confusion and spam.
